Approach
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I utilise a range of evidence-based modalities to offer a personalised approach, grounded in Humanistic principles. I recognise that each individual brings a unique set of experiences, values, and needs. Rather than adhering to a single theoretical model, I draw from multiple frameworks to develop a clear understanding of the emotional, behavioural, and relational patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties.
My practice is inclusive and affirming of diverse identities and lived experiences. I welcome individuals across the spectrums of gender, sexuality, and relationship orientation, and am committed to providing a therapeutic space that is respectful, responsive, and adaptive to your unique context.
Types of Therapy
-
CBT helps us understand how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected. When we become more aware of our thought patterns, especially the ones that are unhelpful or overly critical we can then begin to shift them. Over time, we build the tools to gently challenge these thoughts and reshape them in a way that better supports our well-being.
-
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious patterns that shape how we experience ourselves and others, rooted in early relationships and childhood experiences. These patterns typically develop to serve us - whether for protection or to help make sense of the world. In therapy, we begin to notice how some of these patterns may no longer serve us, and explore new ways of relating to ourselves, to others, and to our inner world - with the aim of creating more freedom, clarity, and fulfilment.
-
Existential therapy invites us to explore life’s deeper questions—around meaning, freedom, choice, and mortality. It’s a space to reflect on what truly matters to you, and how your values and beliefs shape the way you move through the world. By becoming more aware of these guiding forces, you can begin to navigate uncertainty, anxiety, or periods of questioning with more clarity and purpose. At its heart, this approach supports you in living more authentically, with a greater sense of meaning and personal agency.
-
Person-centred therapy offers a warm, non-judgmental space for exploring thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a comfortable pace. Rooted in empathy, acceptance, and authenticity, this approach helps individuals feel truly heard and understood without pressure or criticism. Through a strong therapeutic relationship, clients deepen self-awareness, uncover personal insights, and reconnect with inner strengths. It’s a process that gently supports growth, healing, and a more authentic connection to self and life.
The Therapeutic Relationship
Clients often describe me as personable, enthusiastic, reassuring, and realistic. They appreciate my genuine, empathic, and non-judgmental approach, which helps us establish a strong connection early on. I believe that feeling safe and supported is essential for exploring the more vulnerable parts of ourselves. This sense of security allows you to unpack and understand the deeper layers of your experience at your own pace. My aim is to ensure you feel both seen and supported, while also offering the challenge needed to help you move through the obstacles that may be holding you back.
